Pastor Janine Olson preaches on the Gospel from Luke 11:1-13 in which Jesus teaches the disciples how to pray. But if we focus on the "how" we miss the "whom" we are praying to and what we believe that means. She also addresses the parable in the second half of the Gospel reading about approaching God with boldness expecting, trusting, having faith in the promises of God.

Texts:
Genesis 18:20-32
Collossians 2:6-15

Pastor Steve Cook preaches on the Gospel lesson from Luke 10:25-37, the Good Samaritan. Often we take this story at face value, that we should love our neighbors like the Samaritan. But Pastor Steve reminds us that we should rather identify with the man who is mugged and in need of a savior to tend to his healing, the Samaritan is Jesus!

Preaching Texts:
Deuteronomy 30:9-14
Colossians 1:1-14
Luke 10:25-37
